【摘要】:Theelevated-temperaturetensiontestgivesausefulestimateoftheabilityofmetalstowithstandtheapplicationofappliedtensileforces.Usingestablishedandconventionalrelationshipsitcanbeusedtogivesomeindicationofprobablebehaviorunderothersimplestatesofstress,suchascompression,shear,etc.Theductilityvaluesgiveacomparativemeasureofthecapacityofdifferentmaterialstodeformlocallywithoutcrackingandthustoaccommodatealocalstressconcentrationoroverstress;however,quantitativerelationshipsbetweentensileductilityandtheeffectofstressconcentrationsatelevatedtemperaturearenotuniversallyvalid.Asimilarcomparativerelationshipexistsbetweentensileductilityandstrain-controlled,low-cyclefatiguelifeundersimplestatesofstress.Theresultsofthesetensiontestscanbeconsideredasonlyaquestionablecomparativemeasureofthestrengthandductilityforservicetimesofthousandsofhours.Therefore,theprincipalusefulnessoftheelevated-temperaturetensiontestistoassurethatthetestedmaterialissimilartoreferencematerialwhenothermeasuressuchaschemicalcompositionandmicrostructurealsoshowthetwomaterialsaresimilar.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverprocedureandequipmentforthedeterminationoftensilestrength,yieldstrength,elongation,andreductionofareaofmetallicmaterialsatelevatedtemperatures.1.2Determinationofmodulusofelasticityandproportionallimitarenotincluded.1.3Tensiontestsunderconditionsofrapidheatingorrapidstrainratesarenotincluded.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Plansforsamplingandanalysisofnuclearmaterialaredesignedwithtwopurposesinmind:thefirstisrelatedtomaterialaccountabilityandthesecondtomaterialspecifications.Fortheaccountingofspecialnuclearmaterial,samplingandanalysisplansshouldbeestablishedtodeterminethequantityofspecialnuclearmaterialheldininventory,shippedbetweenbuyersandsellers,ordiscarded.Likewise,materialspecificationrequiresthedeterminationofthequantityofnuclearmaterialpresent.Inevitablythereisuncertaintyassociatedwithsuchmeasurements.Thispracticepresentsatoolfordevelopingsamplingplansthatcontroltherandomerrorcomponentofthisuncertainty.Precisionandaccuracystatementsarehighlydesirable,ifnotrequired,toqualifymeasurementmethods.Thispracticerelatestox201C;precisionx201D;thatisgenerallyastatementontherandomerrorcomponentofuncertainty.1.1Thispracticeprovidesanaidindesigningasamplingandanalysisplanforthepurposeofminimizingrandomerrorinthemeasurementoftheamountofnuclearmaterialinalotconsistingofseveralcontainers.Theproblemaddressedistheselectionofthenumberofcontainerstobesampled,thenumberofsamplestobetakenfromeachsampledcontainer,andthenumberofaliquotanalysestobeperformedoneachsample.1.2Thispracticeprovidesexamplesforapplicationaswellasthenecessarydevelopmentforunderstandingthestatisticsinvolved.Theuniquenessofmostsituationsdoesnotallowpresentationofstep-by-stepproceduresfordesigningsamplingplans.Itisrecommendedthatastatisticianexperiencedinmaterialssamplingbeconsultedwhendevelopingsuchplans.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
