【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedtomeasuretheresistanceofmaterialsusedinprotectiveclothingtopenetrationbyblood-bornepathogensusingasurrogatemicrobeunderconditionsofcontinuousliquidcontact.Protectiveclothingmaterialpass/faildeterminationsarebasedonthedetectionofviralpenetration.Thistestmethodisnotalwayseffectiveintestingprotectiveclothingmaterialshavingthick,innerlinerswhichreadilyabsorbtheliquidassayfluid.Thistestmethoddoesnotapplytoallformsorconditionsofblood-bornepathogenexposure.Usersofthetestmethodshouldreviewmodesforworker/clothingexposureandassesstheappropriatenessofthistestmethodfortheirspecificapplications.ThistestmethodhasbeenspecificallydefinedformodelingtheviralpenetrationofHepatitis(BandC)andHumanImmunodeficiencyVirusestransmittedinbloodandotherpotentiallyinfectiousbodyfluids.Inferencesforprotectionfromotherpathogensmustbeassessedonacase-by-casebasis.Thistestmethodaddressesonlytheperformanceofmaterialsorcertainmaterialconstructions(forexample,seams)usedinprotectiveclothinganddeterminedtobeviralresistant.Thistestmethoddoesnotaddressthedesign,overallconstructionandcomponents,orinterfacesofgarmentsorotherfactorswhichmayaffecttheoverallprotectionofferedbytheprotectiveclothing.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
