【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiestheinstallation(seeNote1)ofdirectgas-firedtumbledryersofupto6kWnetheatinputburning2ndand3rdfamilygasesforuseinpermanentdomesticdwellings(seeNotes2and3).Itappliestoanysuchtumbledryerusedinconjunctionwithaflexibleventinghosefittedtoawallorwindowventterminalor,wherethenetheatinputdoesnotexceed3kW,withaventinghosehungoutofawindow,sothatcombustionproductsandmoistureareexhausteddirectlytotheoutsideair.NOTE1Forthepurposesofthisstandard,installationincludesdesign,inspectionandcommissioning.Itisrecognizedthateachofthesetaskscanbeperformedbythesameperson.NOTE2Aswellasnormallyconstructeddwellings,domesticpremisesincludeanypermanentlysitedcaravans,holidayhomes,residentialparkhomesandpermanentlymooredboats.AdditionalrequirementsexistforthesecategoriesofpremisesandcanbefoundinIGE/UP/8[8].NeitherthisstandardnorIGE/UP/8[8]appliestogasinstallationsintowedormotorisedcaravans.NOTE3Whilstthisstandardspecifiesinstallationsindomesticpremises,itisrecognizedthatitmightalsobereferredtoforsimilarinstallationsincommercialandindustrialpremises.Insuchcases,additionallegislationmightbeapplicable.Attentionisdrawntothehazardsthatexistincertainlocations,e.g.hairdressingsalons,wheretheatmosphereordryingloadcancontainflammablevapours.
