【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardspecifiesrequirementsfornon-prescriptivesupporthosierywhichisdesignedtoexertagraduatedcompressionofbetween0.8kPa(6mmHg)and1.6kPa(12mmHg)onthelegswhilststandingorwalking.Itcoverstightsandstockingswithandwithoutareciprocatedheelandbelow-kneehosieryandsockswithreciprocatedheel,formenandwomen.Itdoesnotcoverbelow-kneehosierywithoutareciprocatedheel,medicalcompressionhosiery(whichiscoveredinBS6612),anti-embolismhosiery(whichiscoveredinBS7672),shapedsupportbandageswithoutapositivelocationfortheheelorfootandindividuallymadegarments.Requirementsforcompression,compressionprofile,sizedesignation,samplingandlabellingareincludedinthisstandard.ThetestmethodfordeterminingthecompressionexertedbyhosieryisgiveninannexA.Themethodtodetermineheelpositionofabove-kneehosierywithoutareciprocatedheelisgiveninannexB.
